WATERPRAXIS organised 2009 Summer Course in Hamburg

WATERPRAXIS organizes 2009 Summer Course in HamburgThe Summer Course “Sustainability, River Basin Management and Climate Change in the Baltic Sea”, an initiative of the Interreg IVB Baltic Sea Region project WATERPRAXIS, was held in Hamburg on 2 September - 02 October 2009.

The work-plan of the project WATERPRAXIS entails a set of summer courses on matters related to sustainable development and river basin management, over the project period.

Approximately 50 participants from various countries of the Baltic Sea Region were made familiar with matters related to sustainable development, river basin management and climate issues in the Baltic. The course consisted of lectures, group work and excursions. It fostered international and multicultural learning and offered a state-of-the-art overview of matters related to sustainable development and river basin management. The summer course was organised by the HAW Hamburg in cooperation with the Baltic University Programme.
